Fareham Borough Council announced two housing consultations in September 2026, both still open as of 5 October.

Draft Housing Tenancy Policy

In a release dated 18 September 2026, the council said it is inviting residents and stakeholders to comment on its Draft Housing Tenancy Policy. The council says the draft sets out how housing tenancies are allocated, managed and ended, and the standards tenants can expect. The consultation runs from 18 September to 30 October 2026. Cllr Fred Birkett, Executive Member for Housing, said feedback from tenants and stakeholders is "invaluable" in shaping the policy.

Draft Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy

In a release dated 17 September 2026, the council invited views on its draft Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy. It said the priorities are making homelessness prevention everyone's responsibility, preventing homelessness through earlier intervention, preventing rough sleeping and repeat homelessness, and developing sustainable housing solutions. That consultation runs from 17 September to 29 October 2026.

How to take part

Both consultations use short online surveys. The council said paper copies and alternative formats can be requested from the Engagement Team by emailing consultation@fareham.gov.uk or phoning 01329 236100.

More about current and upcoming consultations is on the council's consultations page. The announcements are on the Fareham Borough Council website and in the homelessness strategy release.
