Fareham Leisure Centres: Park Lane, Holly Hill & Booking
Fareham Leisure Centre and Holly Hill Leisure Centre are both run by Everyone Active. Here is what the council publishes about facilities, booking and outdoor sport.
Which leisure centres are there in Fareham?
Fareham Borough has two council leisure centres, both managed by Everyone Active, which the council describes as the agent for the borough's two centres. Fareham Leisure Centre is on Park Lane, Fareham, and Holly Hill Leisure Centre is on Barnes Lane, Sarisbury Green. The council's November 2020 announcement said Everyone Active was contracted to manage both centres through 2035.
Pool details, timetables and prices change, so Everyone Active's own pages for each centre are the place to check them.
What is at Fareham Leisure Centre?
The council described a £6.8 million investment in the centre in its 2020 announcement. The planned works included a climbing wall for children and adults, a soft play area, an indoor splash pad, a 617 square metre gym extension, an improved café, dry changing rooms and reception area, and 32 extra parking spaces. By May 2023 the council was reporting that the splash pad, climbing wall and soft play had been built and that swimming lesson attendance was up 14 percent on pre-pandemic levels.
The park setting means the centre is close to the Park Lane recreation ground, where the council lists two tennis courts, a bowling green, a skate park and an outdoor gym. Tennis bookings at Park Lane are made through Fareham Leisure Centre, according to the council's Fareham outdoor recreation page.
What is at Holly Hill Leisure Centre?
Check the Everyone Active Holly Hill page for the pool and fitness facilities and the opening hours. Holly Hill Woodland Park is nearby, and its Barnes Lane car park is described in the council's Holly Hill page.
How do I book classes and activities?
The council says classes at the centres can be booked through the Everyone Active app, by phone on 01329 233652, or online. You do not need to be a member to take part in the classes the council lists, but you do need a free Everyone Active account, which you can set up through any of the booking methods. Members receive the classes as part of their package.
Membership prices, pay-as-you-go swim prices and lesson fees are set by Everyone Active, so check with them before you decide between membership and paying each time.
Are there other sports facilities run by the council?
Yes. The council's recreation pages list tennis courts, bowls, football, cricket, rugby and archery across the borough. Titchfield Recreation Ground on Mill Lane has two tennis courts that the council says need no booking. Locks Heath House Park on St Johns Road has two tennis courts administered by Locks Heath Tennis Club. In Fareham the Park Lane Recreation Ground has two tennis courts and a bowling green, Cams Alders Recreation Ground has an indoor bowling hall used by Palmerston Indoor Bowls Club as well as football and rugby pitches, Bath Lane Recreation Ground has cricket and practice nets, and Hunts Pond Road Recreation Ground has an archery range. Football pitch bookings go through the council on 01329 236100.
Where are the outdoor gyms?
The council's Fareham play area list names outdoor gyms at Park Lane, Funtley Recreation Ground and Fareham Park. They sit alongside play areas and, at Park Lane, a skate park. For splash pads and children's facilities see our things to do with kids guide.
What should I check before I visit?
Before you go, look at the operator's page for the centre you plan to use, as session times, lane availability and prices can change through the year. If you are new to the centres, set up your free Everyone Active account first so that booking a class is quicker. For anything about the park facilities, such as tennis or football bookings, the council's parks team can be reached on 01329 236100 or at parks@fareham.gov.uk.
